Where Connection Restores What Pain Disrupted. Serving individuals, couples, and families online and in-person

Welcome

Are you feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward in your relationships or within yourself? Many people come to us carrying quiet pain—strained communication, family conflict, depression, or the lingering effects of trauma. At Healing Through Connection, we understand how hard it can be to reach out. Our team is here to offer a safe, supportive space where you can feel seen, understood, and gently guided toward healing.

We provide relational, trauma‑informed care for individuals, couples, and families. Our Specialties

From the Founder, Autumn McCain, MPP, MS, LMFT

You are always enough regardless. Just show up as you are; it is okay and welcomed. This is a place of gentleness, empathy, compassion, and authenticity. We are here to both figuratively and literally walk alongside you in your therapy journey either as an individual, couple, or family.

Here it is not about what is wrong with you; it is about what has happened to you OR about the negative cycle that you have been stuck in. We make sense of it together.

Mutually, we make sense of the brokenness, the pain, the relational distress. All behavior has context and fractures in relationships can be healed.

  • "My husband and I worked with Autumn for two years and felt that she was able to transform the foundation and the future of our relationship together.

Autumn had a way of helping us both feel heard, seen, and understood in every conversation we shared with her, which enabled us to be more vulnerable with her and each other. To this day, we speak about the lessons she gave us with friends and family members trying to work on their relationships with others and themselves. Autumn is a true professional and a master of her craft. My husband and I recommend her to anyone interested in receiving thorough, thoughtful, and honest support from a highly skilled therapist.”

  • "Autumn is absolutely OUTSTANDING!

I have been a client for over four years and I genuinely look forward to our sessions. She creates a safe space, providing tools and resources that address my concerns and allow me to improve problem areas. She listens without judgement, is warm and inviting, and makes me feel valued. Navigating stressors like COVID and the current political and economic environment have been possible with her help.”

  • "To say I was hesitant about finding and speaking to a therapist a few years back would have been a gross understatement.

But when I found Autumn, I entered a realm of safety I did not know was possible or needed. Her warmth allowed me to not only engage with her conversationally, but also allowed me to engage with myself mentally and emotionally in ways I did not know I hadn't. She has supported me and others in my community genuinely, so if you are looking for an honest form of connection and healing, do not hesitate to reach out to her.”

  • "Excellent care!

The waiting room and office is calm and welcoming. My counselor Autumn is genuine, kind, and experienced. Many counselors can provide a safe place to process feelings, few can take it beyond that, but Autumn can. Her skill enabled me not only to process and understand my trauma, but to heal from it. I am now living life in the present and looking forward to my future, instead of being stuck in the past.”

  • "I came to Ms. McCain at a very low point having been hospitalized for a month followed by two and a half months of a partial hospitalization program principally due to my complex PTSD.

Ms. McCain helped me climb out of the pits of despair principally through her deft use of EMDR and ample empathy coupled with her astute understanding of trauma. I cannot praise her enough.”
